Biobugs boost profits

Biobugs products are eco-friendly powder and liquid activators formulated to degrade all types of animal waste, reduce surface and bottom solids in dairy effluent ponds and cut odours.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

They also help reduce nitrate levels and when sprayed onto pasture improve the biology in the soil, improving soil structure.

This promotes healthy grass growth with improved growth of the grassroots that are able to use the micro-elements that are in the soil.

A healthy pond, healthy soil, healthy pastures and healthy cows equal healthy balance sheets.

Biobugs go to work on the problem while farmers are working or sleeping. The process involves introducing specially bred natural soil bacteria that will energetically attack the problem effluent.

The whole process is hands-off.

A small injector pump is fitted into the dairy system. It regularly injects small quantities of virile bacteria into the effluent flow and the bacteria go to work digesting the effluent.

These bacteria, which have been used in North America, Europe and Asia for decades, are completely safe and are government-approved.

The bacteria stimulate microbial activity in effluent ponds. The digested solids are converted into plant-available liquid nutrients and unpleasant odours are reduced.

The treatment is good for all types of effluent management systems, particularly dead effluent ponds and older effluent systems that cannot cope with the increased load. Malfunctioning septic tanks benefit greatly from treatment.

Biobugs ensure rapid start-up of failed ponds, can handle larger organic loadings and cut the number of times sludge has to be removed.

As well as handling the daily loading, Biobugs can convert 25% of sludge a year to liquid.

They give big savings on chemicals, labour and expensive machinery and plant upgrades.

They let farms stay within resource consent discharge limits while providing a large return of nutrients and nitrogen to the soil leading to healthier grass growth and healthier cows giving better milk profits.

Biobugs International will do all installation, servicing and supply of materials as part of its service.
