Avatar photo
A reasonable number of prime cattle were offered at Stortford Lodge on Monday.
Reading Time: < 1 minute

The feature was 63 quality Angus steers, which sold in two lines. Thirty-three at 568kg fetched $2.90/kg and another 30, 512kg, made $2.87/kg.

There were few heifers or bulls. Thirty-six cows sold to solid demand with most earning $2-$2.10/kg.

Prime ewes sold on a fully firm to improving market. They were good quality with some scanned dry ewes making an appearance. Top ewes returned $75-$83, good ewes $68-$74.50.

Prime lambs sold very well and vendors would have been pleased with the result. The better end met with very good demand, with top male lambs selling to $113.50 and most other lines $92-$105.
