Matawhero sale 2.12

Avatar photo
The combination of the early ewe fair mixed in with a lift in store lamb numbers ensured there was a bit more activity at the Matawhero sale. More cautious bidding from local buyers caused store lambs to ease.
Reading Time: < 1 minute

Medium male lambs made $60-$68, while mixed sex were $58-$68 and ewe lambs reached $57-$60.50. Lighter types mostly fell into the $45-$52 range

There was reasonable demand for a quality line-up of ewes. Around a third were a single line of four-year which topped the sale at $115. Other older ewes made $80.50-$94, while four-tooths went for $94-$106.
