Charlton sale 1.12

With weaning well underway prime ewes featured at Charlton on Thursday, and a large bench of buyers were very active, PGG Wrightson manager David Morrison reported.

Better ewes traded on a very firm market at $105-$110, with medium at $85-$90, and light $70-$75. Good quality 2-tooths returned $80-$85, and rams, $70-$80.
New season prime lambs sold on a strong market with a heavy line at $106, and the remainder medium and making $91-$95. A small yarding of store lambs also sold well, and top lines made $75, medium $60-$70, and light $50-$55.
